Windows Keyboard Shortcuts
Sometimes keyboard shortcuts/combinations can save time and some are very quick and easy. Here is a list of useful commands that can be executed on a Windows system using just a few keys on your keyboard and/or in conjunction with your mouse:
Windows System Key Combos
F1: Help
CTRL+ESC: Open Start menu
ALT+TAB: Switch between open programs
ALT+F4: Quit program
SHIFT+DELETE: Delete item permanently
Windows Logo+L: Lock the computer (without using CTRL+ALT+DELETE)
Windows Logo+E: Open Windows Explorer
Windows Logo+D: Show Desktop (minimizes all)
Standard Windows program key combos
CTRL+B: Bold
CTRL+C: Copy
CTRL+I: Italic
CTRL+U: Underline
CTRL+X: Cut
CTRL+V: Paste
CTRL+Z: Undo
Mouse and keyboard modifier combos
SHIFT+right click: Displays a shortcut menu containing alternative commands
SHIFT+double left click: Runs the alternate default command (the second item on the menu)
ALT+double left click: Displays properties
